The
METU-HALICI Software House is the first building of METU-TECHNOKENT
whose contract had been signed between Prof.Dr. Süha Sevük, President
of METU (Middle East Technical University) and Emrehan Halıcı, President
of Board of Directors, HALICI Group of Companies on 6 August 1996. The
foundation of the building was laid by President Süleyman Demirel on
15 June 1997. The bulding was opened to operation by Prime Minister
Bulent Ecevit on September 2001.
The
bulding covering a total area of 4.800 m2 has been designed by architect
Semra Teber.
Projects
still being developed in the software house are as follows: Computer-Based
Education Software, Multi Media Applications, Document Archives Management
Systems, MRP-ERP Package, MIDI Music Applications, Turkish Dictionary
Project, Fingerprint Identity System, MIS Applications.
